Gateway has launched two new LCD monitors having HDCP functionality and allows users to watch movies from HD DVD or Blu-ray media.

The 24-incher is Gateways first widescreen monitor that supports full 1080p resolution and 1920 x 1200 pixel capability. It offers you dual-component interface and a touchscreen-based configuration menu, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 brightness and a 6 ms refresh rate. This monitor is priced at $680.

On the other hand the 22-incher has a 780p resolution and plays movies at 1680 x 1050 pixel and has a price tag of 768p at 1366 x 768. The monitor has a brightness of 300cd/m2 and a 700:1 contrast ratio.
