Bharat | Oct 26 2009

Apple’s got just everything to the iPhone in form of applications. All have something to strike a conversation and that’s what we, and they love. Now, this latest application done by NASA is truly out of the world. Dubbed the NASA iPhone app, this allows iPhone users to stay in touch with the US agency’s space projects, the app is also compatible with the iPod touch.

The app will offer users access to up-to-the-minute news, photos and videos of NASA’s missions to outer space. Currently the app is providing details on “missions such as LCROSS/LRO, Mars Exploration Rovers, the International Space Station, the Constellation program, Mars Odyssey and the Space Shuttle” in the form of updates as Twitter feeds.

In case you’re a real space enthusiast, with the app, you can also track the orbital locations of various NASA spacecraft in real time, with access to almost all info that NASA would make available including things like the NASA image of the day, astronomy image etc.
