First wireless USB external hard drive but not all that impressive
Bharat | Nov 20 2009

Imation Pro WX drive makes its debut as the world’s first Wireless USB external hard drive. Offering a 3.5-formfactor with a mammoth 1.5TB of onboard storage capacity, the drive with one-touch backup sync buttons and both Mac and PC compatibility could be a real boaster for users carving for wireless workspace. But, is that good for a $500 tag? Considering the fact that external drives are already available with integrated Wi-Fi, which like the Pro WX drives let you share and backup data over a network wirelessly. The Pro WX does function as an ordinary USB drive, but with transfer speeds being as low as only 15MB per seconds, comparatively that’s only sham noting impressive.
