F-22 ‘Raptor’, the world’s most technologically advanced fighter jet was displayed at an air show in Europe to approving audiences. The jet’s dual engines are capable of flying at twice the speed of sound and the jet wouldn’t carry any weapons externally and hence would be difficult for the radars to detect it. US Air force claims that the jet defies all the flight principles and is too good to be exported for other countries. Japan, Australia and Israel have already shown interest in buying the jet. The F-22 is a great jet that could help in ground attack, electronic warfare and intelligence gathering. The jet itself was developed 20 years ago during the cold war and costs $142 million a piece. The U.S government lays restrictions on the sale of high technology ammunition and equipment in order to curb arms race and power distribution.
