EyeSeeCam lets others see through the wearer’s eyes
Bharat | Dec 8 2009

Imagine a world where you could see from another man’s eye. Things that have never been pleasing to the eyes now may be good then, or some that are best now may just seem ordinary then. Such a world may be years away for now, but a head-mounted camera, the EyeSeeCam has such similar applications and is already here. Ever since its inception and first prototypes the camera has been improvised to look slimmer and compact.

The EyeSeeCam controlled with the movements of the eyes, is designed to store and transmit exclusive views of its wearer’s eyes. Using two cameras with infrared reflecting hot mirrors to track the user’s eye movements, the EyeSeeCam employs a third camera to which the point of view data is transmitted and wherein the wearer’s view is simulated. The camera is being used by surgeons and scientists to film operations and natural visual exploration for documentation and teaching. Video demonstration after the jump.
