Entertainment Weekly first mag to get video ads on its pages

Now, if the Michael Allen‘s golf bags weren’t really exciting a place to stuff advert display into, nerdy fellows from Americhip have found the American magazine Entertainment Weekly to place video advertisements. Yeah! Truly first of its kind ad, this features a slim-line 0.1-inch 320×240 resolution screen in a cardboard insert about the size of a mobile phone display with built-in speakers of course.

Working on the lines of a musical greeting card, the ads for Pepsi Max and trailers for the US TV network CBS are played here for good 25 odd minutes. As the page is flipped the video ads begin playing, if you want to play your own vid, just plug it through a mini USB to the computer and rest you just know. The magazine has been sent to several thousand subscribers in Los Angeles and New York. I think the experience must have been cool for lucky folks. Other can enjoy it virtually in the video after the jump.
