Robotics is one facet of science that drives the fascination of even laymen who comprehend little about its intricacies and endless possibilities. And that’s precisely why progress of any kind in this field draws a lot of attention. The prospect of mobility-impaired people being able to overcome their handicap is also another major reason for the popularity of robotics as a technology. This photographic capture shows an end-effector of a Wheelchair Mounted Robotic Arm (WMRA). This aspect of robotics deals with the mobility requirements of physically impaired people with a primary handicap in the upper body. Actuator hardware and a servo system enable mechanical movement in the artificial limb.
