The UMEC is all set to introduce a UMPC named ELT408 in the upcoming CES next year. A marked deviation from the earlier UMPC this ELT will have a folded 7- inch display with a VGA resolution of 640×480 pixels.
The portable PC has a 1 GB processor and 512MB RAM. Then come the usual specifications like a 1.3 megapixel camera, an Ethernet port and a 802.11g Wi-Fi.
The UMPC will also support a 40 GB HDD and a 4-in-1card reader but what baffles me are the two HDMI ports so that you can connect it to your HDTV.
The dimensions of this UMPC are 21.6cm x 20.6cm x 18.0cm and provide two USB ports with facility to support any of the following video devices like HDTV, IPTV, Mobile TV multimedia applications. As I said earlier the UMPC will be launched in CES next year so no word on price.
