Electronic ID cards are introduced for all children who are under 12 in Belgium. It will help parents to trace there missing children. These ID cards will be introduced from January 2007. This card will not help them to protect them from physical harm but it may help in tracing them. Belgian is the first country to mandate electronic tagging for children. The nifty gadget will certainly reunite missing children with their families quickly, though it doesn’t promise any physical security.
