We always look for human assist device that do just more than what they were actually envisioned for. We were spell-bound by the Japanese made wheelchair that doubles as a scooter, and now we are just floored by this creative wheelchair concept from Pamela Lindgren. The wheelchair, dubbed the Movetto px4, is electricity powered and besides Segway like movement can also be taken into a special designed car and used as a driving seat.
This means, anyone using the wheelchair now can take the same chair into the car and place it in front of the steering wheel and take controls of the car. For all safety, the wheelchair has a seatbelt attached, along with rear wheel controls and front wheel power. Inspired by Vespa, the electric wheelchair has a zero turning radius, and I think it would be perfect for anyone with lower limb disability, or anyone who uses a wheelchair.
