Duros 1205-PS PC gets more rugged, faster and better
Bharat | Oct 30 2009

Most of us are familiar with the Duros 8404 rugged Tablet PC; its success has got the Duros into revealing the 1205-PS a better and more rugged PC. The 1205-PS is a rugged, fixed-mount computer designed primarily for use in police cars, ambulances, security vehicles and fire trucks, and is therefore stuffed with an IntelĀ® CoreTM Duo 1.6 GHz processor, 2GB RAM and two additional USB ports, for more memory and faster speeds.

The innards are placed well within solid aluminum housing, which as we learn makes the 1205-PS the most rugged fixed-mount computer on the market. The Duros 1205-PS runs Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, Windows XP Embedded, Windows Vista or Linux, and can integrate video and run demanding Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software.

The rugged computer featuring an ultra-thin, compact design is easily mountable on the dashboard, while its SVGA sunlight-viewable display is good to negotiate a 120-degree viewing angle and be controlled by a gloved or bare finger.
