Drawing Robot is perhaps the first 'manmade' artist

Artists need to be born. Art is a divine gift. Art resides in genes. These and many more conventional statements more or less round up to a single conclusion - art is an unmatched expertise in a particular activity and this expertise cannot be attained by mere practicing by anyone who wishes! Well, so far this conclusion was perfectly okay but recent advancements in technology will make us think twice before remaining adhered to the conventional definition of arts.

Scientists are attempting to create a robot that can draw artistic sketches by ‘observing’ things; much similar to it’s human counterparts. The robot’s movements and gestures depict street artists - they scan faces and reconstruct the images on paper with their robotic arm. The portraits capture the minutest details of the faces. This amusing process is highly interactive and uses speech recognition to conduct the entire scenario. Well, with this innovation art certainly won’t remain monopoly of nature, genes or whatever!
