Does the new age belong to ima flue (k) - Hybrid Lifeforms?

‘~ in the fields’, is a joint venture between Nicole Heidtke and Stefan Baumberger, that combines the various aspects of art with science, philosophy with poetry and virtual with real architecture. ‘~ in the fields’ as a system amalgamates research with natural phenomena, such as the growth of plants and organisms, unbelievably through computer aided installations.

To exemplify this, consider the following:

To describe a system is basically to construct a new one. What we do is to select and to focus... We attempt to condense specific moments into inventions of autonomous, cocooned systems.

ima flue (k) - Hybrid Lifeforms is a flawless interactive computer-based system that gives an insight into the association and linkups between diverse life forms. It gives an idea of a communal relationship status among living plants, virtual life forms that are inturn incorporated in a mechanism, like a robotic organism, and the actions of humans.

According to the researchers , when the visitor comes close to one of the plants, which is infact a biological life form, the virtual life form, an abstract hummingbird, mounted on a robotic arm, moves closer to the plant and, consequently to wards the visitor too.

Simultaneously, light in the installation area grows brighter with the plants being watered too! Thus in the wake of this, the visitor alters the short-term conditions in regards to the virtual life form and the long-term conditions for the biological life form.

In the real-time world, the spectator pictures the hummingbird clearly, when it approaches the same. The image of hummingbird augments into a larger size until and unless it is too big for the screen to depict.

This system prevents the user from getting too close to the bird and if he does that, quite often, the plants would be watered fatally.
