DIY: Build a waterproof iPod video boombox
Taylor Flatt | Aug 25 2008

Many of us know that owning an iPod touch means we have to take extra precautions when handling it. We have to make sure it doesn’t fall, nothing hits it, and most importantly, not allow water to get inside it or else we could kiss the device goodbye. Well, Anthony Verducci believed it would be a terrible waste of money if you spent all your good money on a quality gadget like this and not be able to enjoy it. He has come up with a small DIY guide, which shows you how to reinforce your iPod touch with a really durable case resistant to a decent amount of water splash and also allow for it to float in water. Now, that’s a cool concept. Imagine sitting in your pool, enjoying the summer sunshine, sipping on martinis and watching your favorite music videos on your new case-protected iPod touch boombox.

Getting the materials is easy and not very expensive, and putting together the unit is relatively simple and requires only some basic household tools to put the case together. To read the entire guide, follow the link below.
