Dell working on an Android based iPod Touch competitor
Bharat | Jun 30 2009

Come geeks it’s time for yet another musical feat. Microsoft’s nearly done it with the Zune HD and now according to reports it’s Dell that’s doing a device mimicking the iPod Touch. The pocket-sized device will play music, videos and being based on the Google Android mobile OS, will also function as a MID. Its size may be slightly bigger that the Touch, but it’s got nothing to do with the Dell Android Phone we had a sneak-peek into a few days back. If the device that Dell’s got in the works lacks the multimedia capabilities (which there is no mention of in the report), we figure the entire concept to be below par with the Zune HD and the iPod tough then. Therefore, it wouldn’t be wrong to strike it off, but somewhere we think Dell will have something competitive and thus with this device it may mark its comeback in the consumer gadgets.
