That DisplayPort display interface has really pierced big time into the monitor industry, with the electronic giants making hard-core efforts to get it clicking with their novel projects. Dell is one amid many that has incorporated the display interface in its units, and here again; the Co. has launched a new monitor, the 2408WFP Ultrasharp that touts a 24-inch surface.
Though, DisplayPort may have the merits, but the interface has added a lot to empting the pockets of the consumers. Perhaps, the answer to the inflated prices may be the notion behind the UltraSharp 2408WFP that is available at a much less $748, in spite housing most of the same perks offered by its bigger processors.
Some of the features housed by the 2408WFP are - a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 6 ms response time, 1,300:1 contrast ratio, 400cd/m² brightness, and the ability to display 102% of the NTSC color gamut. Currently available at Dell’s online store, the 24-inch display also comes embedded with a broad array of display inputs, which include DisplayPort, HDMI, two DVI ports, VGA, composite, S-video, and component video.
