Cuddly green robot comforts kids, but isn’t really eco-conscious

It isn’t easy to get your sick child to meet solace unless you’ve got him sleeping or have toys and yourself surrounding him in comfort. In an effort thus to get something over and beyond the obvious, Belgian-based scientists are developing a robot to ease your kid’s uneasiness when he is sick and/or is hospitalized. The cuddly green robot, named Probo, is there to relieve the child of his uneasiness, but is a mechanical genius good enough to replace a human touch of affection?

The engineers have tried that wee bit hard to mimic that extra possibility to get ever so with their robot to communicate emotionally with the human offspring, for which Probo is housed with a touchscreen on the stomach explaining operations to the kids, with both emotions and disgust. That’s not it; Ivan Hermans creation, this robot is well designed to imitate facial expressions of how a child would feel in course of a certain treatment, but there are limitations still and it’s not actually up there against the mother’s lap. Probo could be heading to the hospital soon, as and when the makeover’s complete.
