CrabFu creates useless but entertaining fish and turtle bots
Asmita | Jul 19 2008

Although one would imagine that R/C tortoise and fish robots would have no real application in real life, but I found these really creepy one created by this CrabFu dude to be of particular use. You see they are made out of spare servos from R/C aircrafts and have no real sense of coordination in their limbs and each servo has to be individually controlled via a remote which makes moving them real fun and becomes particularly entertaining in the hands of R/C toy-loving grand uncle! Watch a demo of that after the jump.

The fun bots are also made of a very interesting material called Shapelock, which becomes moldable if you heat it up to 150 degrees (with hot water, a heat gun, or a microwave). It hardens as soon as it cools down, and you can repeat the process to create weirdities of all shapes and sizes. Watch the turtle freaking a cat out below.
