Chinese firm gets go-ahead to build world’s largest amphibious aircraft
Bharat | Jun 25 2009

Nothing goes ahead in China before the government’s kick in the rear, as an appreciation to begin. This time the nod of approval is an insightful go-ahead for the AVIC General Aircraft Company Ltd., to develop the Dragon 600, which would be the world’s largest amphibious aircraft. Research into producing an aircraft as large as the Airbus 320 has begun, and if all goes as perceived we could have a machine worked out in four years’ time, and units produced in another one year. The company that will employ 1500 employees for the project believes there is a domestic consumption potential of 60 such aircraft in 15 years, and the world probability can only be guessed thus.
