Case Modding latest victim: An Accordion?
Gagandeep | Oct 30 2007

I’m a great fan of case modding and of all the geeks who are good enough to design their own PCs. Well, partly because I think the process is really cool, but more importantly because my own CPU is hideous. However, the PC case this piece is about is sure to give mine a run for its money, when it comes to the worst looking PC cases known to man.

I mean an accordion, as it is, is not the best looking musical instrument out there, and when it is used to model a chassis upon, the result can be quite hideous. Lennie Moore and Jim Wiggins have built a music server, using an Enrico Bertini accordion as a case. They give a step-by-step account as to how they managed to accomplish this rare feat here. In case anyone of you wants to do the same, go for it, but don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.

P.S. - To power up the computer one needs to hit three specific keys of the accordion, which hide the 3 power switches. Seriously guys, what were you thinking?
