Buying shoes to become easier with the newly launched ‘Trainer’ vending machine
Parul G | Apr 16 2008

Imagine getting everything from condoms, to coffee, to apparels and footwear from a vending machine. Well, first two things are very common for vending machines. But apparels and footwear? Yes, very soon footwear and hopefully then apparels is something we can look forward from vending machines in future. The introduction of Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger’s ‘Trainer’, a shoe vending machine is the latest example of how life is going to change in next few years. This shoe vending machine has been installed in London’s Carnaby Street for the first time. It holds 24 pairs of trainers in six sizes, and is operational round the clock. If one needs a pair at an odd time then he can go on and posses a new pair via this new machine by simply putting in the money and entering the code. It indeed sounds good to get a brand new shoe by just pushing in few buttons. However, the fun of buying shoes as we buy now would be lost somewhere once these machine operated shoe shops become popular.
