Blobo gaming console is only a ball-shaped Wiimote
Bharat | Nov 21 2009

The direction Nintendo Wii has given to the future of gaming consoles is beyond words. No matter what Microsoft and Sony may come up with next, we know where the inspiration has come from. While we are only waiting for something more exciting to rival the Wii, we see the Blobo gaming console unveiled in Finland.

Blobo is a golf ball size gaming console that leafs out of the Wii idea incorporating its motion sensing technology. The $80 squeezable console senses the changes directions, acceleration, and the magnetic field around it, along with users other physical characteristics which courtesy the Bluetooth connectivity it translates on the display. Now, this is just another Wii type fitness console, but sans Wiimote of course. Follow the jump for a video demonstration.
