Blackbird : Explore U.S. & Canada without losing your way
Zodingliani | May 12 2006

Seems like, there are millions of people who cannot find their way home. After TomTom and Garmin, now it is the time for Alpine to lead people’s way. Yesterday, they finally let loose their new navigation system called ‘Blackbird’. The portable navigation device is to be installed in autos, coming ready with a map to let you explore the U.S. and Canada.

The device will be able to direct you vocally turn-by-turn to an address, intersection or any of the pre-loaded point of interest like hotels, restaurants, airports, and gas stations. It also supports a Radio Data System traffic data receiver and an MP3 player that accepts music files on SD cards. It costs about $750 with another $60 annual fee for subscribing the Radio Data System.
