Thought toothpicks were only good to nag your teeth? Time for reversal. 72-year-old Terry Woodling is a genius who knows how to stack one toothpick over the other before they count millions and an automobile model is ready.
Latest to his tally of such life-like models is this stagecoach, he began making on the Thanksgiving Day in 1994, an additional reason, beyond par excellence, why I thought it was fitting to feature it here today on the Thanksgiving Day. Made in about million and a half toothpicks costing more than $1,200, this 8 feet high, 13 feet long and over 200 pound toothpick stagecoach, has an appraised value of $135,000 and the model is expected to be stationed at the Ripley’s museum by 2010. Wondering why, work of art so intriguing, never made it to the Gunnies Book of World Records? Well, Woodling’s use glue to stick the toothpicks together.
