Augmented reality used to work out high-tech magic
Bharat | May 1 2009

Having seen all sorts of magic tricks from David Blaine and Jadugar Shankar (if you know them too), I always thought technology would never confront magicians, and these names were the best in trait. But today, my thoughts are all defied by this video demonstration that shows artist Marco Tempest using Augmented Reality to play around with common card tricks.

Augmented Reality Card Magic is a depiction in real time of what goes through a magician’s mind when he is performing tricks with cards for us. Portrayal of just that is this must-watch vid, wherein Marco Tempest takes us inside his own mind as he performs those tricks with a deck of playing cards. Wearing a goggle-type contraption with embedded cameras, we are able to see in the tricks what Marco is thinking and what the cameras are recording. I haven’t seen anything more enthralling in a video ever before and after watching this, there isn’t a doubt that you’ll feel the same.
