Asus steps into droid zone with Android based EeeBot
Bharat | Dec 19 2009

Having done successfully well with the Eee gadgetry, Asus now plans to venture into the robotic thick of things with the EeeBot. there are no real details on this one yet, but the automated bot is being designed as an educating companion for children. Using Google’s open source Android Operating System for controls, the EeeBot is a project Asus is handling itself but we learn that it is driven by the Taiwanese government. Because the EeeBot is a distant dream for now, we’ll have to content with the interactive robot’s voice, visual and facial recognition abilities besides the navigation traits it’ll be vested with.
