Asus Eee PC to go touchscreen, no rumor at all
Alpheus | Oct 10 2008

After establishing a winning rapport with buyers across the world, the Eee PC is all set to take its technology to the next level. The trend-setting netbook will receive a touchscreen during the first quarter of next year, supposedly in time for CES 2009. And with a confirmation by the GM, we can rest assured that this is no home mod doing a rumor rerun.

Watch This: The Asus Eee PC is among the best-selling netbooks. And with the inclusion of touchscreen technology, we believe the numbers are going to hit the roof. Fortunately for us, the launch date isn’t too far away. We can get our hands on this one pretty soon.

Word around the Web:

John Herrman from Gizmodo says:

It’s not known whether the devices will look like the touch panel Eee mods that have been floating around or take the shape of a tablet, but we’ll see in January when the first models are shown at CES.
