Apple's ultra-portable notebook coming in January for $1500
Madan | Dec 8 2007

We can’t say exactly, but presumably, much rumored Apple’s ultra-portable notebook can be introduced at Macworld Expo and Conference in January 2008. The notebook is said to be 50 percent thinner than the company’s existing MacBook and will feature Flash memory-based solid state drive.

Based on the information given by CNBC show host Jim Goldman in a financial TV report broadcast and as stated by AppleInside, laptop might be one featuring either 12-inch or 13.3-inch display that will coast $1500, as speculated. An unknown source residing near the Apple manufacturing plants in Southeast Asia is said to witness the production of this notebook in progress. Further, Incorporation of a LED backlight display also adds to the rumors on which Apple denied to comment, when asked by CNBC.

The thickness of today’s optical disc drive components is one major factor, which limits reduction attempts for thickness of notebook designs, but Apple had attempted to do so through unconventional means. Therefore, probability for a successful result is very much there.
