Airborne Systems successfully tests GigaFly

Airborne Systems has successfully tested a precision-guided cargo delivery system called the GigaFly. It has a canopy area of 10,400 square feet and a wingspan of 195 feet. The system comes with GPS, and also software, which helps it deliver the its goods. This unmanned parachute can drop cargo even at altitudes as high as 25,000 feet above sea level.

Price and Availability: The GigaFly has just been tested and is not available yet. There is no information on pricing either.

The GigaFly is the largest ram-air that has been deployed successfully, and it can be used in various situations like aid delivery, emergency situations and for the military.
