Acer Aspire One: The latest ATOM powered UMPC
Nishant | Jul 10 2008

Ever since the OLPC initiative, it’s been raining UMPCs and lately ATOM has been every company’s fav processor. Acer today added one more to the list of ATOM powered UMPCs when they unveiled their new UMPC, ‘Aspire One.’ Aspire One packs N270 Atom CPU, 1 GB of RAM (512MB onboard), a 8.9” WSVGA Screen with LED backlight, 3 MegaPixel webcam, 120 GB HDD, Wifi, memory card reader and Ethernet port.

Aspire One is quite a great looker and it is atleast available in three colors, black, white and Blue. Though people at akihabaranews state that there are only two available colors, black and white, but Acer’s site displays a blue one too. It weighs around 1KG and measures 249×170x29mm. Company hasn’t revealed any prices and if I were to take a wild guess then I’ll expect it to cost around $600. But, let us wait for the official price announcement and lets see if I am any good at guessing.
