A Wiimote proscribed, sky-spy MicroDrone UAV

Man’s steadily moving beyond the cars and roads, when nuisance down here is getting just too much to handle. The importance for the UAV’s not only limited to the individuals need, but moves way past him to the society as well. The UAV’s have made a mark for themselves in modern military operations and are outrightly recognized in the arena. The time’s for the miniature designs and the question is, what’s desirable and what’s possible? Knocking out the square, here is a new spy in the air. Called the Microdrone, it’s a toy-sized remote-control craft that hovers above streets or crowds to film what’s going on beneath.

The Microdrone’s designed to jump out from military hardware to the police and civilian markets. It can make life easy for the police in particular, especially where the crime rate is way too high and monitoring every corner of the street requires hell of a time. This means the Microdrone could soon become a common sight. At only 2ft wide, between the tips of its rotors the drones are small enough to be unnoticed by people on the ground when it’s flying at 350ft.

Police have already put it in practice in monitoring the soccer crowds and dance parties. It has a high-resolution video surveillance equipment and an infrared night vision capability, so even in darkness they give their operators a bird’s-eye view of the locations while remaining virtually undetectable.

The latest Microdrone model can fly for 20 min on a stretch (you can always change the batteries and send it back again). The controller can give a command through the remote and it responds accordingly. Based on the Google map interface, the GPS waypoint automatically navigates the little spy. It is priced way to high at $60,000 that makes it just unfathomable to rate it a common object, but then the cops need something that’s far from common, coz they often confront that which is uncommon.
