A whistle to keep the crowd away
Pramit | Feb 17 2006

Police in North Staffordshire are using a high-pitched “dog whistle” device , also called The Mosquito for obvious reasons, to stop groups of nuisance youths hanging around shops.

Interestingly, the Whistle’s output of 80-decibel frequency noise can only be heard by teenagers and those in their early 20s.

It costs £622.

A handy crowd control tool, indeed.
